this website's feature today is the flooding in iowa. it is a great site to bookmark. the photo above has been floating around for a few days...it just kills me.
in good news, the water has crested. now we just wait to survey the damage.
Having seen what the flood did in Chattanooga and having visited the Gulf Shores, AL area after a hurricane, the pictures can not capture the total destruction of the water. The houses are the saddest picture to me. Probably toys are still in the rooms, clothing in the closets, family pictures in albums, etc. Now they have the memory of the house floating away.
I am so thankful that none of our immediate and extended families were injuried. All we can do is watch the Mighty Mississippi continue its angry journey to the sea.
